Loancero (“Loancero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Loancero.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit the Site, arrive from an advertisement on Meta (Facebook or Instagram) or Google, submit an application, request information, or otherwise interact with our services.
Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where required by law, we will request your separate consent before collecting or using personal information for a particular purpose.
About Loancero
A simpler way to explore loan options
Loancero is a lead-generation company that works with multiple lenders to help U.S. consumers find suitable loan options based on the application information they submit through loancero.com.
Loancero is not a lender. We do not make credit decisions, guarantee approval, guarantee funding, or determine the interest rate, fees, repayment period, or other terms of any loan. If you submit an application, we may transmit your information to participating lenders, lending networks, and financial-service providers that may evaluate your request and contact you. Each provider independently decides whether to make an offer and is responsible for its own products, terms, disclosures, licensing, and privacy practices.
How Our Application Works
This section describes the steps of the application on Loancero.com so you know when and how your information is collected and shared. You must be 18 or older and live in the United States to apply.
Step 1 — Tell us what you need. You choose the main purpose of the loan (for example, debt consolidation, home improvement, medical or emergency expenses, or a major purchase or other purpose). You can apply for $2,000 to $150,000, with terms typically ranging from 6 to 60 months. The rate, term, and amount offered are set by the lender, not by Loancero.
Step 2 — Answer a few questions. The application asks one question per screen, in seven steps in total, about your employment, income, and credit profile, along with the contact details described in Section 1. Your answers are sent over an encrypted connection. The application on this Site does not collect banking information. If banking information is needed, we collect it separately through other marketing channels or dedicated landing pages, only after we first obtain your consent, and never in an advertising platform’s lead form.
Step 3 — A lender reviews your application. When you submit your completed application, we send your information to one or more participating lenders, lending networks, and financial-service providers, as described in Section 3. A lender reviews your information and contacts you by email with next steps. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, and any rate, term, and amount offered depends on the information in your application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide, information we receive from service providers and participating financial partners, and technical information collected when you use the Site.
Information you provide may include your name, email address, employment status, income information, pay frequency, requested loan amount, loan purpose, credit-profile information or credit-score range, and information needed to evaluate or process an application. Where necessary for a specific application and with appropriate safeguards, this may include banking information.
Banking information may include the name of your financial institution, account information, and routing information when you choose to provide it or connect an account through a bank-connection service, such as Flinks. We do not ask you to provide sensitive financial information through Meta, Google, or any other third-party advertising platform’s lead form. Loancero collects banking information only through other marketing channels or dedicated landing pages, separate from the application on this Site and from our Meta and Google advertising, and only after we first obtain your consent. If such information is needed, we direct you to a secure flow operated by or for Loancero.
We may also collect information you provide when you contact us, including the contents of communications and information needed to verify and respond to a privacy request.
Technical and usage information may include your IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, referring URL (including the ad or campaign that brought you to the Site), pages viewed, access times, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar information about how you use the Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide the Site and process, route, and monitor applications.
- To send an application to participating lenders, lending networks, and financial-service providers that may evaluate the request.
- To allow participating providers to contact an applicant by email about the request and potential offers.
- To verify identity, detect and prevent fraud, protect security, and reduce unauthorized or unlawful activity.
- To communicate by email about an application, requested service, privacy request, or material change to this Policy.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, personalize, measure, and improve the Site.
- To measure the performance of our advertising on Meta and Google, as described in Section 4.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, court, and law-enforcement requirements.
- To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce our agreements.
- For any other purpose disclosed at the time information is collected or otherwise permitted by law.
We do not use sensitive application information to create advertising audiences, remarketing lists, or customer lists, or to personalize Meta or Google advertisements based on an individual’s income, debt, credit score, bankruptcy, financial hardship or distress, bank information, or other sensitive financial information.
3. How We Share Information
Application disclosures. When you submit an application, we may disclose the information in that application to one or more participating lenders, lending networks, lead buyers, and financial-service providers that may review the request or identify available offers. The recipients may include direct lenders, loan marketplaces, credit-related service providers, and other providers involved in evaluating or fulfilling a requested financial service. The number and identity of recipients may depend on the information submitted, the products available, the applicant’s location, and the lender review process.
The recipient may use the information to evaluate the request, make an offer, communicate with the applicant, verify identity, prevent fraud, service an account, and comply with law. A recipient’s use of information is governed by that recipient’s own privacy policy and terms. We encourage applicants to review those policies before accepting an offer or providing additional information.
Service providers. We may disclose information to companies that provide services for us, including hosting, secure data storage, analytics, customer support, form processing, identity verification, fraud prevention, email delivery, compliance, and secure bank-connection services such as Flinks. These providers may use information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.
Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, courts, or other authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a government request; protect rights, safety, or property; investigate fraud or security incidents; or enforce our agreements.
Business transfers. We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction. The recipient will be required to handle information consistently with applicable law and, where required, this Policy or a legally permitted successor policy.
Advertising and analytics providers. We may share limited technical information and hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email address) with Meta and Google for advertising measurement, attribution, and security, as described in Section 4. We do not intentionally provide Meta, Google, or any other advertising platform with an applicant’s bank-account number, routing number, credit-card number, income, credit score, debt information, bankruptcy information, loan purpose or amount, or other sensitive application information. We do not use such information to target or personalize advertisements.
We do not sell personal information to unrelated third parties for unrelated marketing purposes. If applicable law treats a disclosure as a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may exercise the applicable opt-out rights described in Section 8.
4. Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Technologies (Meta and Google)
We advertise our services on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and on Google properties and partner sites. To measure and improve our advertising, we and our service providers use technologies such as the Meta Pixel, the Meta Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Ads remarketing, and Google Analytics.
Notice of third-party collection. Third parties, including Meta and Google, may collect or receive information from our Site and use it to provide measurement services and to show targeted ads. These third parties may use cookies, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies, and may combine this information with other information they hold, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Meta. We use Meta’s business tools to understand which ads lead to visits or form submissions and to show our ads to people who may be interested in our services. The information we send to Meta is limited to technical and usage information, hashed identifiers, and a generic signal that a page was viewed or a form was completed. We do not send Meta any sensitive financial information or the contents of your application. Our Meta advertising for credit products runs under Meta’s Special Ad Category requirements, and we do not use age, gender, or ZIP-code targeting where those restrictions apply. To learn more or manage your preferences, visit Meta’s Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/) and your Meta Ad Preferences (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/).
Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the Internet. Google and these vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site. We use Google Ads remarketing and similar audiences only for general Site visitors and never on the basis of sensitive application information. You may opt out of personalized advertising by Google by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
What we do not do. We do not use sensitive application information, and we do not use categories that Meta or Google restrict for personalized advertising (such as personal hardships or financial distress), to build audiences, remarketing lists, or lookalike audiences, or to target or personalize advertisements. We do not place advertising pixels on pages that collect banking information or other sensitive application data.
Your choices. You may opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/). Where required, we will request your consent before using non-essential advertising cookies or similar technologies, and we will honor opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where required by law. Opting out of interest-based advertising does not stop all advertising; you may still see ads that are not based on your interests.
5. Contact by Email and Optional Marketing Emails
We contact you by email. We use the email address you provide to communicate with you about your request, available offers, and your application status. We do not contact you by telephone call or text message, and we do not request consent to do so.
Application-related emails. By submitting an application, you request that Loancero and participating providers contact you by email about your request, available offers, and application status. We share your email address with participating providers for this purpose. A provider’s own emails are governed by that provider’s privacy policy and terms.
Optional marketing emails. Consent to receive marketing or promotional emails is optional and is not a condition of submitting an application, receiving information, or obtaining a loan. Marketing emails will clearly identify Loancero as the sender, will not use misleading subject lines or sender information, and will include our physical mailing address and a working unsubscribe link. Consent is not a guarantee that an applicant will receive an offer or be approved for a loan.
Opting out. You may opt out of promotional email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at the address in Section 13. We will honor opt-out requests promptly and no later than ten (10) business days. Opting out of marketing emails will not necessarily stop service-related, security, legal, or application-status emails.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to complete a requested service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, legal requirements, and operational needs. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely dispose of it where reasonably practicable.
7. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure storage, monitoring, and vendor-security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and appeal our decision regarding a privacy request.
To submit a request, contact us using the details in Section 13. Please identify the request you are making and provide enough information for us to verify your identity and locate our records. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may deny or limit a request where permitted or required by law, and we will explain the reason and any appeal process that applies.
If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of the agent’s authority and may verify your identity directly. We may retain information about a request so that we can document and comply with our legal obligations.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, maintain security, understand usage, measure advertising performance, and improve the user experience.
Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You may manage cookie choices through our cookie controls, where available, and through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality. Our use of Meta and Google technologies is described in Section 4, and we configure those technologies not to receive the sensitive application information listed in this Policy.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for people who are at least 18 years old and live in the United States, and our advertising is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not send Meta, Google, or any other advertising platform information about children. If we learn that we collected information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may link to or connect with third-party websites and services, including participating lender websites and secure bank-connection services. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties. Review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before submitting information or accepting an offer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on the Site and update the “Last Updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law. Your continued use of the Site after an update does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
